Who We Are?

Grow India (Growth & Obesity Workforce) is a non-governmental workforce dedicated for improving lives of children with hormonal disorders. It is working towards prevention and early identification of hormonal disorders and making health care more accessible to these children.

The key partners of GROW India include health care professionals, school authorities, non-governmental organizations and general public. The concept piloted in Kanpur in 2013 has been implemented in different parts of the country in a phase wise manner.


What We Do?

GROW India has developed educational tools including E Resources for children, parents and teachers regarding endocrine disorders. We have used innovative ways like conduct of design and movie making workshops to generate interest of students and schools about endocrine disorders. GROW India support groups for children with Diabetes, Celiac Disease, Growth Hormone Deficiency and Thyroid Disorders have been working towards affordable care for these children. Considering the importance of patient awareness educational material have been developed for children with Diabetes, Thyroid Disorders, Pubertal Disorders, Obesity, Celiac Disease and Growth Failure. GROW India YouTube channel provides a number of educational videos regarding these disorders.

A major thrust of GROW India has been towards enhanced physician awareness about endocrine disorders. This had been achieved by publication of two books and e Resources on Pediatric Endocrinology. GROW India has initiated a two-year training program in Pediatric Endocrinology in collaboration with Regency Center for Diabetes Endocrinology & Research. GROW Society, GROW Society, Growth & Obesity Workforce has developed six modules on Growth, Puberty, Thyroid, Glucose Disorders, Electrolyte and Calcium Homeostasis that have been implemented across the country as 7 full day Practical Pediatric Endocrine Courses and 70 half day workshops.
